Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applied Sciences works on streetscapes, shorelines, parks, and other public spaces, alongside engineering efforts related to stormwater and watershed management. This has led to an integrated practice focused on complex, water-oriented public realm projects. Our clients are primarily local governments, not private developers. We are seeking a Landscape Architect with 3+ years of professional experience to support the design and delivery of public space projects. This is an in-office position for a candidate who is passionate about shaping resilient, community-focused environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting site analysis and supporting concept development
- Preparing drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools
- Assembling plan sets, details, and presentation materials
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across engineering, planning, and environmental disciplines
Applied Sciences also works on resilience planning, coastal adaptation, sea level rise policy, and other climate-related initiatives. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to these efforts. This position will work closely with a team principal and offers opportunities for professional growth, increased responsibility, and involvement in client-facing work.
Applied Sciences is now a Parsons company, offering expanded resources and access to a broader network while maintaining our focus on public-sector and community-driven projects.
