Job Description
The purpose of this job is to design, test, and implement new and/or improve existing features into Data & AI data products.
- Research, design, build, test, and track new descriptive and predictive applications for Data & AI that deliver impact to the organization.
- Assist in forming business strategy through exploratory data analysis and business understanding.
- Integrate data from disparate sources (internal and external) into data products that are consumed by business stakeholders
- Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation for analytical products developed by Data & AI
- Create and maintain data product source code in a source control repository (GitHub)
- Identify opportunities for improvement in data quality, which leads to performance and accuracy improvements in Data & AI data products
- Consult on and execute opportunities for process automation
- Implement data structures using best practices for data modeling and visualization
- Identify opportunities for improvements to data quality to optimize data product performance
- Establish Data & AI Data best practices and build data products that provide single-source-of-truth foundational accuracy
- Continually improve ongoing data pipelines and simplify self-service support for busines stakeholders and Business Analysts
- Participate in Data and Analytics Governance best practices by documenting data structures, pipelines, and outputs across the entire organization
- Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Drive discussion with senior leaders to generate insights
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or other quantitative discipline required, Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience in analytics/engineering or related industries preferred
- Expertise in SQL
- Experience working with Cloud Data Warehouse technology such as Databricks preferred
- Experience working in source control tools, such as GitHub
- Experience in R or Python
- Experience in Shiny/Streamlit applications preferred
- Experience in Tableau preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, execute tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly
Additional Information
- Less than 5% travel required
- General office work requires sitting or standing for long periods of time
- Able to work evenings and odd hours as needed
- This position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
